Dick's Sporting Goods sought to expand their digital ecosystem by developing a comprehensive design system. This initiative aimed to extract and standardize components from their established enterprise product, creating a unified framework that would streamline and accelerate the development of additional enterprise applications across their business portfolio.

Task:

Our team spearheaded the development of a comprehensive design system with three core objectives:

• Establishing a unified design language that would maintain visual and functional consistency across the organization's internal product suite.

• I performed a thorough assessment of the existing application to establish the foundational elements for our component library, pattern collection, and template framework.

Design and Development:

• I established essential design infrastructure by creating comprehensive libraries for color palettes, typography systems, and reusable components, significantly enhancing cross-functional collaboration and operational efficiency.


• I developed standardized design patterns and templates utilizing the newly established component library, providing future product teams with ready-to-implement frameworks that accelerated development cycles while maintaining design consistency across the organization.
